Who am I? Why am I doing this? What exactly is this anyway? A few questions that you may or may not be asking yourselves. Well allow me to fill you in. My name for names sake is Genesis. I’d really love to have a really cool reason for this name but in all honesty, it’s just something that I decided I liked after hearing on a TV program. So I ran with it. I’m not going to go into massive detail about who I am as a person and give you my life story because, hey, it’s not that important right? So instead I’ll give you the basics and give you my gaming life story instead!
My age, well I suppose that’s relevant to some people, I am in fact the ripe old age of 21, and I’m your typical English gamer. So I suppose that makes me English…. And for those of you who know England, I’m from the common ‘ol land of Yorkshire. So glad that’s out of the way, now let’s get to business.
There is a reason behind all of this, and yes, some of you might find this a little bit silly or forever alone of me but I’ll let you in anyway. I’m actually in reality a pretty normal guy, I have friends and I go out and I work and all that “normal” stuff, however, I am a massive, MASSIVE, gamer. When I say massive it’s simply because I cannot think of a better word for it, but trust me if there was, I’d be that. Anyway what I guess I mean is I love gaming and it is my life passion. Not just the playing aspect but the entire industry! Game development, gaming communities, the different stories, the teams, the events, the lifestyle. I live and breathe for that! However my friends don’t seem to follow my love of gaming. Now don’t get me wrong we all get together and we all have gaming events and we play COD until silly hours in the morning on Skype just having fun, but fun is where it ends with them.

Now because I don’t have any diehard gamer friends like myself I sometimes feel a little isolated when, for example, I want to work for stupid amounts of hours to reach a certain rank, or reach a specific Xbox achievement or PS3 trophy. (I am also a massive trophy and achievement whore.) So I decided I’d create Re:Genesis Games so that I’d have somewhere that I can vent my thoughts and in the process maybe make some new friends who share this walk of life with me. But I would love you all to come along for the ride!
Now with me saying I am a diehard gamer, I don’t profess to be the best or even above average for that fact. So yeah I guess I am your average diehard gamer….if that is even possible eh! So this is just my world. My journey, my thoughts and my take on my passion, and for those of you who are interested, then I really hope you enjoy what I have to say, and as always, I will want to know what your take on things are as well.
